Launch list

When you join the launch list we store how you'd like to hear from us (email, text or both), your email address and/or mobile number depending on that choice, the reason you picked for signing up and anything you typed in the optional "tell us more" box. If you answer the follow-up question we also store the song you'd like to learn.

We also store the time you signed up, the consent wording you agreed to (including the texting wording if you chose text), which button you used, any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm_source) and the page that referred you. To limit spam we keep a one-way scrambled version of your network address for a short time.

We use this to send you the link to your free song preview (if you asked for it), tell you when Banjo Play launches, send occasional progress updates, and understand why people are interested. Your record is never readable from the public website. It is stored securely with our hosting and database provider, and we do not sell it.

Getting removed

Reply STOP to any Banjo Play text to stop texts. Reply to any Banjo Play email asking to be removed, and every update email will include an unsubscribe link. When you ask, we delete your contact details and answers from the list.

The animated example

The animated example on the home page is a scripted demonstration. It does not use your microphone and plays no sound.

The practice app

When you use the practice player, your microphone is analysed on your own device to check notes and timing. Audio is not uploaded.
